Whatever your budget, there is a top quality restaurant or pub to suit your needs within a short distance.

If you manage to tear yourself away from the surrounding coves and coastal walks then the famous St Michael's Mount is just 3 miles away.

If pottering around the shops and towns is more your scene, the surrounding towns including Penzance (7 miles), St Ives (9 miles), Mousehole (8 miles) Porthleven (7 miles) and Truro (35 miles) are fantastic for local crafts, art and much more.

We are spoilt for wonderful gardens in West Cornwall. The National Centre for Gardening at Trevano is just 7 miles away, where you can enjoy woodland walks, a boating lake and traditional gardens. Trebah is 15 miles away, situated on the Helford River, this is the perfect place to while away the hours with breathtaking views to the Helford and near tropical plants. The restaurant also serves excellent local food.

The Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape has recently been declared a World Heritage Site and there are many mines and old mining landscapes to explore within a short drive of the houses. Two old mining buildings can also be seen on the common on the way down to the houses.
